Working in collaboration with Ashland residents and businesses, community gardens, schools, and small farms

The goal of Ashland Community Composting is to eliminate food leftovers from landfills and their greenhouse emissions, and reincorporate them into the food and carbon sequestration cycle through composting. We work in collaboration with Ashland residents and businesses, community gardens, schools, and small farms.

Mission

Ashland Community Composting is committed to turning food leftovers into living compost, while reducing landfill biomass and toxic chemical use. We create rich, high quality soil and sequester carbon from the environment.

Our initial goal is to work with, and provide compost, for gardens, restaurants, and small farms, and scale up from there.

We will eventually be offering educational workshops for community and school gardens on making biologically rich soil, growing food, and reducing food waste. Our goal is to create a model that could be expanded and recreated throughout Oregon.
