Oregon Central Coast Forest Collaborative

Current Projects

The OCCFC actively engages early in the pre-NEPA and formal NEPA processes across the Siuslaw National Forest. In order to find common ground and create efficient processes for engaging on these NEPA processes, the OCCFC is working to create Zones of Agreement (ZOA) that capture the overlapping interests of Collaborative members while identifying potential areas of concern where agreement has not yet been reached. This work to establish ZOA is both in addition to and related to collaborative NEPA projects.

North Fork Smith

The OCCFC is working with the Central Coast District of the Siuslaw National Forest on a plan to engage throughout the North Fork Smith NEPA process. This process should formally begin in early 2022.

Yamhill-Willimina

The OCCFC will begin working with the Hebo District of the Siuslaw National Forest on the Yamhill-Willimina NEPA process in mid-2022.

Operations Subcommittee

The Operations Subcommittee consists of four OCCFC members who meet on an as needed basis to draft governing documents for Collaborative review. Additionally, the group helps set the direction of the OCCFC and act as a sounding board for the Collaborative Coordinator.
